Training Manager
Job purpose
To ensure the learning and professional development of the organisation's
workforce.
To be responsible for ensuring that all staff are equipped with the knowledge,
practical skills, and motivation to carry out work-related tasks.
To ensure the ongoing, long-term improvement of employees' skills, enabling them
to fulfil their potential within the organisation. The training manager is required to
be strategic, assessing the skills and knowledge within the organisation and
determining what training is needed to retain and develop skills aligned to the
organisation’s vision and values.
- Lead an outstanding training department which has coaching at its heart.
- Deliver an induction that teaches people the skills they need to deliver
- outstanding customer service and person centered care.
- Continually define and implement clear progression pathways (internal and
- external).
- Develop leaders who inspire our staff and who are able to manage effectively.
- Embed ‘honest’ conversations that allow people to grow and move on.
- Enable staff to have autonomy ‘trusted to do well’ with assessments
- (competencies and formal qualifications) in place to ‘verify’ check that this is
- being done.
- Embed a culture of continuous improvement, sharing our knowledge internally
- and externally.
- Publish and deliver an annual training programme based on a training needs
- analysis that ensure staff have the skills they need to do their job efficiently
- and effectively.
